| Details of Position | ICT provides lifts for residents in the Addingham, Burley and Ilkley areas, primarily for medical appointments. Volunteers use their own cars and can claim a mileage allowance. Acting in a voluntary capacity should be permitted by your insurers and not affect your annual premium. A clean driving licence is preferable but not essential. You advise the times you are available and choose how often you drive. |
| Description of your Organisation | ICT is a local charity providing three minibuses for hire to community groups in the LS29 area. A pool of trained Midas (Minibus Drivers' Awareness Scheme) volunteer drivers support the hiring groups. Training is provided free of charge. The charity also provides car lifts to residents who have difficulty in accessing medical appointments. Lifts are provided by volunteer drivers using their own cars. Whilst lifts are free, a donation is requested to support the charity. |
